Building collaboration and confidence

At Dementia Australia, we believe that we can transform dementia care by working together.

In our Communities of Practice, you’ll collaborate with other professionals who are passionate about improving dementia practice and fostering innovation within their organisations.

Each month, you’ll share knowledge and challenges in implementing practice change, learn about new and emerging trends in dementia care, and be inspired by guest speakers and dementia experts.

Who is this suitable for?

To join a Community of Practice, you must be working in a professional capacity with people living with dementia.

We encourage people in diverse roles to take part — whether you’re a care worker, a nurse, an allied health professional or a leader, you’ll benefit from the insight and collaboration showcased through the program.

Key benefits of the program

  • Develop a support network of like-minded peers.
  • Access continued learning and development beyond formal education and workshops.
  • Build confidence and ability to drive internal change.
  • Share learnings and provide mentoring within your organisation.
